We found this abandoned puppy two weeks ago. She has a wonderful disposition and is as sweet as can be. We would love to see her with a family who has a fenced in yard, as she loves to be outside and play, preferably with another dog. She loves attention and will be a great companion for someone. She has not been tested around children but loves other dogs. She even does well with dog aggressive dogs and is very submissive. She is currently being crate trained and doing well (no accidents!). The puppy is very food motivated, responsive, smart, and eager to learn. She is loving, curious, and wants to be by your side any chance she gets. She ... PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Alabama
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
