Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Buttercup is looking for a family with a stay-at-home mom or companion. This little girl has the happiest, sweetest disposition and she will be a great companion for the right person or family. She definitely is a 'people pup' and is extremely gentle and obedient. She gets along very well with other dogs, walks great on a leash and loves to ride in the car, house broken and crate trained. She knows basic cues like sit, lay down and come. She is very good with small children and has been around children that are 1.5 years old to 4. She is good with older kids as well. She loves to snuggle on the couch next to you while you watch movies or ... (Read More)read books. Wherever you go, that is where Buttercup wants to be. Buttercup prefers to be with a family that will spend quality time with her and take her wherever they go. Buttercup needs a to be matched with a stay home adult and/or family that isn't gone but at the most a few hours a day. She will chew if left alone for long periods of time unattended in a house and prefers not be crated for long periods of time either. She does great when she has human companionship. She would also prefer to have a big fenced in yard for outdoor play time. Buttercup is about 1.5 years old, up to date on all of her shots, heart worm negative and on prevention plus microchipped. This gal wants a forever family that she can spend the rest of her days with. She has moved around a lot and just needs to get settled in a loving home and deserves that second chance. If you are interested in adopting this sweet gal that will bring you much joy please go to our website and complete the pre-adoption application http://www.southernskiesrescue.org (Less)

Bo is a very intelligent, engaged, and sweet dog. He is currently in a foster home, and we have had absolutely no problems with him whatsoever. He could be an inside, or outside dog. Bo knows sit, down, and look, but could be trained further. He does only have one eye, which was surgically removed before coming to the shelter. He is microchipped, but we were unable to contact his original owners. Bo is such a sweet dog, and is incredibly good with every dog he's met.

This is a courtesy post. Please contact Jeanette at 256-486-4860 for more information. Victoria is an exquisite girl!!! She is almost 2 years old. She is UTD on shots, spayed, and ready to go home with you! She is house-trained and crate-trained, although she would prefer to be an outside girl with a huge fenced yard to romp in. She likes most dogs, but not all dogs. She is not a snuggly girl, but she adores taking treats out of your hand. She walks well on a leash too.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Alabama
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
