Animal ID: OSC 35Victoria (female)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

This is a courtesy post. Please contact Jeanette at 256-486-4860 for more information. Victoria is a BEAUTIFUL girl who is about a year and a half old. She is not a snuggly girl, but she is house-trained, crate-trained, spayed and UTD on shots. She likes most dogs, but not all dogs. She would really like to be an outside dog with a huge fenced area. She walks well on a leash and adores eating treats out of your hand. She will follow you around, but maintains her independence.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Alabama
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
