Rescue Me ID: 18-01-17-00197Laverne (female)
Laverne is kind of the cutest little thing there ever could be :D She was found on the reservation. She is now about 12 weeks old & looking for a perfect furever home! She is super playful & all puppy so make sure you're prepared for that! She is crate trained but does cry a bit at first. We think she is a border collie/lab mix and is pretty big now so id expect a large dog. She loves all dogs & cats. If you're prepared for the obedience training she will need as she blossoms into adulthood-- reach out to us! Her adoption fee is $300. This covers deworming, vaccines, spay & microchip :)

Hershey is a fun playfull 8 month old cattle dog mix. He is house trained, kennel trained, leash trained and knows sit.He would make a great hiking dog, he loves other dogs and loves to play tug of war. We would prefer no small children in the house and he does like to bark at new people coming into the house so maybe a quieter house would be best. Hershey is neutered, current on vaccinations and microchiped. $200

Rescue Me ID: 18-01-10-00340NYKO (male)
Hello my name is Nyko I was saved from the euthanasia list at the county animal control, just in time for Christmas. The person who saved me has been working with me daily since. My favorite thing is chasing tennis balls and belly rubs. He is a diamond in the rough, he knows commands, sit, shake and down, walks well on a leash. However, tends to play too rough until corrected. He would do better in an experienced dog owner that knows herding breed behavior, active adult home, or one with older children, at least until he is taught how to play properly. He would be an awesome hiking, biking or running companion.

Rescue Me ID: 18-01-04-00009Rocket (male)
Meet ROCKET! Born January 25, 2017 Australian Shepherd and Cattle Dog Mix Rocket is a large breed dog who could weight up to 80 pounds once he is done growing and filling out. House Trained Vaccinated Crate Trained Microchipped Dog Door Trained Neutered Good with Dogs, Cats, and Kids with proper introduction. Can be shy in new situations, but warms up quickly. Good at community events and loves the dog park. Rocket will need an active home with a yard and family members that are willing to walk him and make sure he gets the physical and mental stimulation he needs. Rocket loves to be with his people so much that he has some mild seperation anxiety when he is alone. He whines for a few minutes when he is crated, but settles himself down in a few minutes. He would really like a home with another dog friend. Rocket could use some basic training, but people who are willing to give him the time, training, and exercise he requires will likely find Rocket to be a smart, loyal, and loving companion. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-11-05-00184Sully (male)
Sully is located in a foster home in Southern Arizona. His foster mom can arrange transport to Tucson on Saturdays for meet and greets. Sully is a wonderful 18 months old Border Collie/Cattle Dog Cross that was kept locked up in a back yard since he was a puppy. When he arrived in rescue he basically sat in a ball for 2 weeks. He was so scared, he had never been out of the confines of his yard, never been around other dogs. All he had been around was children, lots of children. Sully is great with children, he is now really great with other dogs and he has realized the world is a wonderful place with lots of adventures to be discovered. Sully is now housebroken and loves his soft blanket bed and the luxuries of a home. Sully was given up because his owner lost her job and was moving to another city, however, I think it was the best thing that ever happened to Sully. He now can have a wonderful life with adventures, love and an environmentally controlled home for the rest of his life. Sully is friendly, sweet and a great boy. He will be fabulous in a home with or without children. He will make an excellent family dog for camping, hiking or just walking around the block. Please give Sully the forever home he deserves. 602-316-8919 (no texts please) (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-10-27-00398Bucky (male)
Bucky is located in South East Arizona in a foster home. His foster mom makes trips to Tucson usually on Saturday for meet and greets. Bucky is a wonderful boy that came from the Douglas Shelter. There are not many adoptions at that little shelter, so Fedwell Farm was asked to help him. We are so glad we did. Bucky is very cute, he has one blue eye and one brown eye. Bucky did not have much socialization before he came into rescue, riding in the car was new, being in the house was new, but he is now house trained and he loves to ride in the car. He was pretty m uch left out in the back yard. Bucky is only 2 years old and ready for a great new life. He is a quiet, easy boy that would even be good in an apartment as long as he has his walks. Bucky is heart worm negative and Lyme Disease negative. He is neutered and ready for his new forever family. 602-316-8919 (no texts please) (Less)

Animal ID: Jai/JaxonJaxon (male)
Hi, my name is Jaxon and I'm almost 4 years old. I'm a sweet and goofy guy looking for my furever family! I dream of a family who loves my silliness and my boundless energy. I'm still learning my manners, but I can sit, lay down, shake your hand and roll over. I love to cuddle, but they tell me I'm not a lap dog mainly because I'm all legs! And boy, do I know how to use them! I run like lightening and love to play chase with other dogs and tennis balls. I'm quick and can jump and turn on a dime. I would love a family that has a big yard or likes to go to the dog park.I do like to go on long walks and do not pull as much as I used to. I am potty trained and know how to use a dog door. I do get a bit scared around strangers and will bark when they ring the door bell, so an understanding family who will introduce me to new people and fur friends slowly and patiently would be the best fit for me. Loud noises like fireworks and screaming kids tend to make me nervous and I want to run and hide. I also get scared when I'm left alone and cry a bit at first, but I am crate trained, so at the end of the day, that's where you'll find me, all cuddled up in a little ball in my crate with my favorite blankie, sound asleep dreaming about a family I can call my own. |Animal ID: Matza1Matza (female)|
Matza is a sweet, mellow girl who loves to hang out with her humans and go for walks. She is about 10 years old. She can benefit from losing a couple of pounds and is working on that. She is very particular about which dogs she gets along with and does not enjoy pushy, crazy or barky dogs. She loves to go between your legs for pets and enjoys belly rubs. Matza is well mannered in the house and rarely barks. She does take a while to warm up to new environments, but she is curious at the same time. She would be a fantastic addition to a quiet house with someone who can take her for daily walks. As far as her foster mom can tell, she is afraid of the cat and does not want to be near the cat. It would be best if the family has no cats or cats who are very indifferent to dogs. If you are interested in Matza, please go to our link below and fill out an application. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Arizona
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
