JOHN BOY (LJ) What a happy boy I am! I am John Boy, a Border Collie and Lab mix, weighing about 50 pounds. That would be 50 pounds of love and affection for everyone! I had a wonderful loving home but my elderly Mom became ill and she can no longer live at home with me. She raised me with lots of tender loving care for 5 years and I really miss not having my very own family and people in a loving home. I'm not a wild little puppy boy any more, but a very relaxed boy now. I'm great with kids, adults and other dogs....actually, I am just plain wonderful! Do you have room in your heart, family and home for me? Please call Mary Ann for an ... (Read More)application at (501) 276-2385. (Less)

JULIE Think chocolate..... rich, brown and so sweet! I am Julie, a chocolate and white Border Collie mix, about 2 and 1/2 years old and waiting for my very own forever family.     LOLA Sweet sweet Lola. I know, you might think I am too old to adopt but let me tell you that I am so gentle and full of love. My elderly Mom recently passed away and, now, I and my 3 fur brothers are hoping to find a loving home to live out our lives. I'm a Collie / Border Collie mix, very gentle and sweet...Collies are very loyal and loving family dogs, you know. I like to stay outdoors but it would be wonderful to come in and lay by your feet at night. I ... (Read More)am spayed and current on all of my shots. PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Arkansas
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Arkansas if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
