Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi, all! I'm Donny, I'm super handsome and about two years old. I may seem shy and nervous when first meeting you, but after spending some time with you (and bribing me with cheese), I'll warm up to you and play and connect. I've found that if there are other dogs, I'm shy at first, but after a while, I want and like to play. I do like to have a safe place to go, such as under my foster mom's dining table, in the event that I get scared. I'm still a little wary about being picked up,so if I'm going to need to be picked up for whatever reason, please try not to scare me. All I ask is that you please be patient with me while I warm up to you ... (Read More)and that you love me like one of your own, and I'll love you and be a good boy for you the best way I can. I have cataracts/birth defect so my vision is limited so just approach me from the front. Let me warm up to you, and I promise that I will show you how much energy and love I have! If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an application at http://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application His adoption fee is $295 and all proceeds from his adoption go towards future rescues. PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Arkansas
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Arkansas if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
