Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Vaccinations Current

*COURTESY POSTING - See contact information at bottom of this description. INFORMATION AS OF 6/7: Buttercup is a female Border Collie approximately 9-10 weeks old. She is your typical busy puppy, and wants to please. True to her breed, she is super smart, and already knows to go to the door when she needs to be let out and go potty. She is also crate trained and learning to come when called. Buttercup is good with other dogs, and fine with cats, horses, and birds. She rides great in the car, has attended a horse show, and is learning to walk on leash (she has been walked all over Home Depot). This pup is NOT recommended for a home with ... (Read More)small children. Buttercup is an adorable playful puppy now, but she shows signs that she has a dominant personality. Her fosters are working with her on her biting and mouthy behavior. When she nips and her play gets rough, they stand up and turn away from her. She seems to be getting it, and is improving. She needs people who have experience with and understand Border Collies or herding breeds. Buttercup will need a home where she can get plenty of mental and physical activity, and people who will continue the work of teaching her basic manners and routines, and socializing her throughout the day. This is NOT a pup who should be left alone in the house for several hours during the workday. Buttercup is located in the Napa, CA, area. She is healthy and up to date on her vaccinations. Her next set of shots are due on or before 7/3/16. If you would like to meet her, please call or text Colleen at 530-383-2604 or email her at cthallett@gmail.com Texting or emails are best.     Meet Jackson! This amazingly sweet approximately 13 year old Border Collie sadly lost his owner. After his owner passed away the next of kin couldn't afford to care for Jackson so he was released somewhere on the eastside of town, where he wandered in search of food. When I was contacted to rescue him he was injured, had a coat full of stickers and foxtails, he was grieving his loss and starving.     3/4 black lab 1/4 border collie Moving due to financial needs and cannot afford any place that will accept my dogs. Looking for home to keep them for a few month until I can afford a home that I can keep them at or a forever home where I could potentially visit. Only asking adoption fee to cover shots, neuter, and food. Gets along very well with brother named Stimpy also posted on here as well as every other dog he has met, but do not need to be kept together as they behave much better seperately. Ren would be a very good hunting dog he obeys commands extremely well when he's the only dog outside, points, tracks, fetches, heels, soft mouth, ... (Read More)good learner. Potty trained. Extremely submissive personality. It kills me to let him go but I simply don't have the money. (Less)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Adult

This beautiful girl is Lulu Bear. She is a 3 year old, female, border collie/pit mix, approx 40 to 45 pounds. True to her border collie roots she love, love, loves to play fetch. Although she loves to play, she doesn't require a 'dog job' all the time. Her fur is soft as cashmere, also from her collie roots but it's short. She would do great in a home with another medium to large male (she seems to love the boys). She would also do well as an only dog if her human is interactive. She house trained, good on leash, very sweet, smart, and loyal. She knows sit and shake. She isn't fostered with children but did will with them at our ... (Read More)adoption events. Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only.  Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Check out Turbo, a seemingly super mellow guy. He is a NEUTERED male, 3 year old, 62 pound black and white Border Collie mix. He absolutely melts with joy when his ears are scratched and was wonderful on the leash with his handler. Turbo sat very well on command and seems HIGHLY TRAINABLE. He has beautiful soulful eyes and one floppy ear that folds down when he's listening. We introduced Turbo to another dog at the shelter and he did great, so we think he might do well with another large dog in the home. Unfortunately, this sweet boy is RESCUE ONLY due to a bite incident. As a result, we would recommend he go to an experienced owner and a ... (Read More)home without children just to be safe.     Backstory: Happy and his life long companion, a Beagle, both seniors were dumped at a shelter in LA county by their owners. A rescue came and took the Beagle, leaving Happy behind. We were told of this story and rescued him. Happy has been in foster care for 3 months and he still has moments where he looks very sad, still missing his best friend. Happy is great with humans and other dogs. he is NOT good with cats or small farm animals. Happy is a very affectionate and loving boy............unless you tell him to do something. He was apparently the alpha in his last home and took orders from nobody. His current foster has made ... We do have a trainer avaiable by phone to help with this issue, which is very fixable with a confident human alpha. When we first got Happy, he was so filthy and matted that he had to be shaved down but his coat has since grown out beautifully. He is a senior boy that deserves a warm bed and a loving home to spend his golden years. If you are interested in this boy, please fill out our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/60815119286155 Happy's adoption fee is 150 and all fees are used for future rescue efforts.     I'm an adorable 28 pound Dalmatian boy mixed with perhaps Border Collie? Whatever I may be, I look like a miniature dalmatian! What could be more perfect?! I'm terrific with other dogs and love giving people hugs and kisses. I don't even seem to notice kitties. I'm a good quiet boy in my crate at night and am housebroken too. I'm a very, very happy boy who would love to go on a hike with you or snuggle in your lap to watch TV. Don't you think I'm absolutely perfect?!

Lois and Clark are best friends and have been through a lot together. They are a bonded pair and together they could make your family complete. They were reunited after having a week apart and when they saw each other they hugged and kiss. We could clearly see how much they loved each other. They are low maintenance, house trained, walk great on leash, love toys, and not high energy. Healthy, fixed, vaccinated and chipped. Clark (brown) is a 2 yr old pit mix. PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in California
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in California if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
