|Animal ID: A37502821Chopper (male)|
Introducing Chopper a 1-year-old Border Collie mix. Chopper is very smart and very affectionate. This guy knows basic commands and walks like a champ on the leash. Chopper is looking for a home where he can be engaged and active. He is house trained and loves to chew on his Nyla Bone or Kong stuffed with peanut butter. Chopper would be a wonderful best friend to an active person or family and is looking forward to many adventures and hikes! Chopper did well meeting our office cat and would probably do ok with a mellow cat in the house that would stand its ground. Do you think that you might be the right fit for Chopper? Come meet him today!

|Rescue Me ID: 18-01-18-00065Jack (male)|
Meet our Jack! He is a beautiful Border Collie cross. Long silky black hair that is so soft and beautiful brown eyes that look right into your heart! Jack had a family, but they felt he deserved more time and attention so he was brought to us. Jack knows what it's like to have his own poeple and can't wait to have his own place again. Jack loves to run and play. He loves to take walks and is great on a leash. He loves squeaky toys, tug-a-war and playing fetch. He loves treats and sits and takes them so softly. He is learning commands very well. eager to please and a fast learner. He is potty trained, neutered, up on all his vaccinations and micro chipped. The Border Collie in him means he has an abundance of energy and would do great with an active family. He would love a big fenced yard or a farm to run and get his wiggles out. Hiking or biking and camping would be his thing. He loves other dogs but does not care for cats. He hasn't had experience around small children. Jack is a one year old that is ready to join a family and continue to learn all he can and start giving back love. He has so much to give. |Rescue Me ID: 18-01-16-00334Sadie (female)|
Sadie is a -year-old female red border collie. Her father is papered but her mother is not. She is dark brown with traditional markings. She weighs 35 pounds and is house trained. Sadie has been with our family since she was 6 weeks old. She attended Sit means Sit immersion school as a puppy and group lessons. Sadie is very smart and she is motivated by food making her attentive and easy to train. A true female, she tends to push her boundaries, give lots of sweet looks and kisses. 'Rules are for those less pretty.' Sadie has been raised with her brother and my mother's standard poodle but She is not social. We attended a special class for aggressive behavior. We take her out and hike with her regularly. When other dogs approach, we make her sit and stand between her and other dogs. Sadie has been a family dog indoor/outdoor with a 0.2-acre yard and lots of daily exercise. She loves to play fetch with a ball and a frisbee. She has the high energy of her breed but is very mellow in the house and not destructive. She likes to be with people. When I work she is in the yard for 14 hours. She doesn't dig, chew or bark (with the exception of squirrels.) Sadie has never worked with livestock. She is FAST! Watching her run is amazing. She is attentive and trainable and comes from working parents. Sadie is not mean but she is impulsive and she can not be trusted around small children and has a bite history. Not a border collie nip, an I'm the boss of you bite. We are looking for a home where everyone is safe. Please contact me with questions. (Less)

Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
