Ash is a sweet 3 year old dog and bonds easily after he feels comfortable with you. Ash loves activity, frisbee's, balls, biking and hiking. He would be best suited in a home where there are no children or cats. He has become intolerant of my cats which is why I am surrendering him. He is house broken and knows basic obedience. Because I care so much about Ash, I need to know about you too.

Border Collie Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sokka is a 9 year old Newfoundland/Border Collie mix who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when his family lost their home. This boy is so sweet, loving and gentle; he has been a dream dog while in our care but now it's time to find him a new home of his very own. This handsome lug is great with people and good with kids over 5; he's spent his life being the best buddy to his humans. He has amazing house manners and is easy to live with. He likes to be pet, spend time with you but isn't 'in your face' about it. Sokka was not socialized with other animals so he is a bit usnure when he meets other dogs but within 24 ... (Read More)hours he and the other dogs in his foster home became the best of friends and spend hours playing in the backyard. We do know that he will need a cat free home and think he would do better as either the only dog or with another dog that is 40 pounds or over. Sokka is almost 90 pounds - well a little lighter at the moment since he has been shaved; so he need another dog that can play with him. He is house trained, crate trained and knows a few basics; he is pretty quiet though he will once in a while bark at other dogs on the other side of the fence. Sokka hasn't quite mastered walking on a leash. He doesn't pull your arm off just a curious sniffer, and walks in front of you, and all around you to explore. Sokka does have an allergy to beef and is currently on a food that doesn't contain any and is doing great. He LOVES to go for a walk and will need at least one a day; he is in great health and walks will help keep him that way. Sokka is really just a sweet dog who needs a fairly active family; if that's you fill out an application today! Application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Sokka is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped Sokka's adoption fee is $75 (Less)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hey world. Meet Travis. He is an outgoing pup who is always ready to play. He is in a wonderful foster home having a blast with all his foster furfriends. His foster mom said he is full speed playing and then all of a sudden he's crashed. She said he has a bit of an attitude. She will say, time for bed Travis and he barks and rolls around like,,,,,,' no not yet. I'm not tired.' Then she turns around and he's crashed in the middle of the kennel. :) He just doesn't want to give up when there is someone to play with. Sounds like a puppy. :) Travis loves other dogs. He can be a brat. with kitties. He likes to bark at them ... (Read More)and will chase if they run. The doggie door was a breeze for him because he followed all the other kids outside. He's learning to potty outside and sit's nicely for treats. He loves treats. The world is a happy place when there are treats around. Travis is a 3 month old Border Collie Aussie mix. He is up to date on all his vaccinations, and micro chipped. He will be neutered as soon as the vet says he's old enough. He and his bro Stoney are both looking for a fun home where they can spend their days loving life and being part of a family. Rescue Me ID: 18-03-19-00238Roscoe (male)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Roscoe is a very sweet dog with lots of personality. We have had him since he was 12 weeks old and he has traveled all over with us. It breaks our hearts to have to look for a new home for him, but unfortunately he has not adapted well to a baby being in the home. After a year of trying everything we can think of, he is still very jealous and becomes very anxious/growly around her. Nothing has happened, but it is a very stressful situation that hasn't improved over time. Roscoe very much carries the Border Collie traits. He is very sweet, loyal, smart, and has lots of energy. He knows quite a few commands, does well off leash, and learns ... (Read More)quickly; he is highly food motivated. He is used to getting out to exercise twice a day (walks, fetch, hikes, etc.). He is not a dog you can just take to the dog park and let run around or just stick in the back yard. He is smart and will get bored easily. I would recommend an experienced dog owner as border collies are energetic and have their quirks. In general, Roscoe keeps to himself when other dogs are around and likes to be left alone. He likes some dogs and doesn't like others and he makes that pretty easy to tell. He is not a fan of puppies or certain dog breeds (can be explained further if interested). He will let other dogs know if he doesn't want them in his space. He would do best in a single dog home (though not necessary as he gets along great with some dogs), without small children, and someone willing to meet his exercise needs. It is really hard to write this and think he will no longer be a part of our family as he has been for so long. We will want to meet in person for a greeting/screening with him and any other dogs. He has all needed supplies/toys/food.Roscoe is neutered and up to date on his shots, though he is due again soon. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-01-29-00382MARY (female)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Who would like a sweet, faithful companion who shows her devotion and love with her strong desire to please? Meet MARY! She is a healthy, medium-sized, 6 year old who has been searching for a forever family for many months from her temporary home at Meridian Canine Rescue (MCR). MARY does well with kids of all ages. She is housetrained, crate-trained, and walks well on leash after her initial excitement of being out of kennel. She is playful (rolls over for belly rubs) and is up for any adventure that starts in the car and includes long walks. MARY is smart and expert at doggie puzzles like treat dispensers. She knows sit, ... (Read More)down, roll-over, stay, come, wait, look, and is treat-motivated to learn more. MARY loves toys, but because of kennel stress, she currently shreds soft toys and balls. With a home routine and family to love her, this behavior will likely change. Although MARY has walked with both little and big dogs, MCR recommends a home where MARY can be the star of the show. MARY has strong prey drive with rodents, so no cats or small animals in her forever home. MCR adoptions include spay/neuter, current vaccines, flea/tick preventative, deworming, wellness exam, and microchip. Adoption fee is $300. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Idaho
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
