Rescue Me ID: 14-05-30-00312Junnie (female)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Spring being a tough act to follow, God created June. - Al Bernstein FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Our big girl Junie is an 8 year old Lab/Aussie mix and just the cutest thing you will see today! Hard to believe but Junie was slated to be euthanized in an out of state shelter, a lovely woman saw her and couldn't resist that face and hopped in the car, drove down to get her and now Fuzzy Pawz has the pleasure of finding this girl a home. Junie is your typical easy going Lab; she LOVES to be pet and loved on; but she is not in your face about it. She is content to do whatever you want to do when you want to do it. She is very good with ... (Read More)kids but is only mildy tolerant of toddlers; she is an older girl after all and has no room in her nap schedule for such nonsense! This lovely lady loves going for walks, playing outside and wading in the water though she is not high energy at all; any new adopter will want to keep up with this to continue with her weight loss (she's just a bit chunky). Junie got to go camping this weekend and she was amazing! She didn't run off, she ran around and played, took a lot of naps, slept on the mat with the other dog in the foster home and didn't stuck close to her foster family. Junie is house trained, crate trained and potty trained. She will not jump on the furniture, unless you invite her up, even then she's hesitant. She gets along with other dogs, including the rambunctious 1.5 year old black lab in her foster home. We have not had Junie around cats but she is easy going enough that she should be fine. Junie never barks or whines unless to alert you when somebody knocks on the door! She does shed a lot and will need to be brushed often. If you are looking for an all-around amazing companion dog please go to http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/, fill out the pre adoption application and Fuzzy Pawz Rescue will contact you about her. There is a $40 adoption fee. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-05-28-00207Zoey (female)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Zoey is a fun-loving 3 year old border collie mix (3 in July). She is great with most dogs and is well-trained, but she is having a hard time adjusting to our home with a toddler and a new baby on the way. She knows basic commands (sit, stay, come, heel, down), is great on a leash, and is trained on a remote collar for hiking. She is a very loyal dog and just wants to please. She is great with our toddler but he stresses her out. She is scared of other kids and new situations. Her favorite activities are hiking and hanging out in the yard with her people. She is a very loyal dog and is always so excited when her people return home. Zoey ... (Read More)would be great in a home with no kids (possibly older children) with an active family. She does need exercise and attention daily. Please help Zoey find a family where she can be relaxed and comfortable! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Idaho
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
