Rescue Me ID: 15-04-28-00410Liv (female)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Foster location: Nampa, ID Liv is a vivacious 1 year old Border Collie mix. This sweet girl LOVES people and will happily greet everyone. Liv has the typical young dog energy so we recommend no children under 8. This happy go lucky girl enjoys her daily walks/runs and frolicking around the yard with a toy in her mouth. It is rare to find Liv without a toy, unless she is snugging up for some quality time. Liv does well with other dogs who can tolerate her energy level and is unknown with cats (though we'd say probably no cats due to her desire to play). Liv is house trained and crate trained. She loves laying in her crate whenever ... (Read More)she wants some quiet time and chewing on a Nylabone. She is a smart girl who has already mastered some of her basic commands (come, no, leave it, sit) and is doing great working on others. Liv is still working on her leash skills, but is coming along very nicely. We would highly recommend a new owner enroll Liv in a basic obedience class where you can both bond over learning. Liv is afraid of gun shots and will run to her crate; however she has not been afraid of any house hold noises etc. Her crate is her safe place and her foster family just leaves the door open so if something does frighten her she can go in on her own. Weighing in at only 31 lbs, this petite girl is the perfect size for running, hiking, camping or just a stroll around the neighborhood. She rides very well in the car and loves to go. Liv has a bowed front leg due to an old injury that has healed. It does not slow her down one bit! Liv is spayed, current on her vaccinations and microchipped. If you think you can offer Liv a wonder new home please fill out an adoption application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $75 adoption fee for Liv (Less)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Bosley is a 4 year old Border Collie/Black Lab mix. He is very loving with people. He thinks he's a lap dog. He has never bitten or even growled at a person. He's very energetic and in play mode 24/7 He is good with most animals. I've only ever seen him have a problem with other dogs sometimes. He is pretty food aggressive, but only with dogs. People can put their hands in his food while he's eating and he's completely fine. Also he does growl at other dogs sometimes when they try take away a toy he's playing with, but nothing more. Other times he wants to play tug a war with other dogs. So I don't know if he's just moody with other dogs or ... (Read More)what. He is potty trained for the most part. Very seldom does he pee in the house, and he's only pooped once in the house for the 3 years I've had him. He loves to run and play fetch, so a big yard is a must. I am no longer able to keep him due to drastic changes in my life that happened all at once. (Less)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Buddy is quite the boy. From the day he came to join the gang, he was a happy, fun loving, well adjusted kid. We can't figure out why someone wasn't looking for him. :( He minds so well, sits for treats, comes running when called and even kennels when asked. Even though it's way more fun to play. He loves his toys and chewies and his best friend in the whole world is Oakley. He loves other female dogs and is great with kids. He would make a wonderful hiking partner and a best friend for life. Buddy is about 3-4 years old. He has been neutered, vaccinated and he is micro chipped. He needs an inside home, a fence yard and hugs ... (Read More)every single day. PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Idaho
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
