|Rescue Me ID: 16-10-31-00060Sprout (male)|
Sprout is an amazing boy who is guessed to be around 10-12 years old and is very petite- at 20 lbs. His eyesight isn't the greatest, so he is sensitive about movements around his head. Therefore, we think he would do best in an all adult home or a home with children over 15 yrs old. He gets along with other dogs, is very quiet (have yet to hear him bark), and is house trained. He likes playing with toys and he still has a lot of pep to his step. He is also good on a leash. Sprout's adoption donation is $200, which goes to help cover the cost of his medical care, which included a full dental cleaning. For any questions about Sprout, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. We require all adopters to live within a 1.5 hour driving distance from Romeoville, IL. *All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped. |Rescue Me ID: 16-10-09-00210Deacon (male)|
*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Are you ready for a lifetime of fun and adventures with a devoted canine companion? Do you need a buddy with whom to watch sports on tv? Well, I would like to apply for the job. My name is Deacon, and I am a 1-year-old border collie mix; lucky for you, I am available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation! I am a pretty good looking dude if I say so myself. My coat is decorated with caramel and white swirls, and I have handsome hazel eyes. And I am about 40 pounds of lively love! My friends at Fetching Tails Foundation saved me from Chicago Animal Care and Control. Ever since my foster mommy took me into her home, I have been having a total blast playing with her female pittie mix Rey (who is a Fetching Tails alumna! She tells me all the time in our doggie language that I will find a great forever home for myself just like she did!) We love to run around in the backyard together and play together inside, and play with our toys and chew bones together, basically playing together as much as possible. I love to play and be active, so I would love a forever family that likes to be active, too; I could be a great workout buddy if you need a friend on long walks. It would also be amazing to have another dog friend; I think a canine companion about my size and energy level would be a perfect fit! We can keep each other entertained and be best friends forever. And I am serious about watching sports on tv: it doesn't matter what sport, if there is a game on the telly I like to get right up in front of it and keep an eye on the ball. So when we are all done going on fun adventures and playing, I would be the happiest dog alive if we could watch a highlights reel or two on ESPN together. I have great house manners and I am learning even more all the time! I am potty trained, and I do fine resting in my crate while foster mommy goes to work. She says I am very good at letting my people know when I have to go outside and 'take care of business.' I know a few basic commands, including sit, stay, and give paw. I love to learn, and Fetching Tails Foundation likes to encourage all adopters to attend training courses with their new pups, so I think it would be a lot of fun if we could take a few classes together. I love to go on long walks, but I can get excited and pull a little strong, so maybe we could work on leash skills together in doggie school? More than anything, I would love a family that is up for fun and adventures like I am, and a family that will love me for life! If I sound like I could be the fun-loving, active, spunky (And did I mention cuddly and affectionate? Because I am definitely a cuddlebug, too!) sports-junkie for you, please get in touch with my foster mommy at Fetching Tails and tell her you are ready to watch the World Series with me! Love, Deacon If interested please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org or if any questions please email us! Adoption Requirements: *Be at least 21 years of age *Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household *Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease) *Have a valid ID with current address *Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Fetching Tails Foundation *Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment *Lives in 50 mile radius of Itasca within the Illinois border Adoption Fees: Senior dog - 8 years and up, $75 Adult or young dog - 6 months to 7 years, $250 Puppies - under 6 months, $350 (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-07-20-00507Minnie (female)|
DOB 3/1/15 After seeing Minnie's shelter picture, we knew she needed out ASAP! She was so thin at only 25 lbs, and now after a lot of TLC from her foster, she is 40 lbs. Upon arriving on transport, she greeted everyone with tail wagging and kisses, she knew she was now safe. We think she might be Border Collie/Pit mix and about 1 yr old. After arriving at her foster home, she got to learn what being a puppy was all about, learning how to play and what a dog toy is. She has blossomed into a beautiful, happy, affectionate, active pup, who loves to go on walks. Minnie is not a fan of the crate, but doesn't need one since she does great without one. Cuddling up with her foster family at bed time, is one of her favorite things. Since she was an outside dog, she had to learn about housebreaking. She enjoys, is playful with and friendly with other dogs. Now that she has been shown what life should be like, she is looking for her forever family to continue showing her what love is. If interested in meeting Minnie or for more information please go to www.alwaysroom4morepaws.com to read about our adoption process. Here you will also find the application to fill out and send back. *Breed and age are a guess. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-06-10-00594Susan Poochie (female)|
This lovely gal is Susan Poochie, a striking, mixed breed dog suspected to be part bully breed and possibly Border Collie. Poochie weighs around 45 pounds and is approximately two years young. Poochie has excellent house manners; she is already housebroken and is has free roam of the house while her temporary foster is away from home. Susan Poochie is very loving, affectionate, and friendly with everyone she meets. She seeks attention from her people and enjoys playing with them whenever possible. Because Poochie is energetic, and needs a little work with jumping up on people when she meets them, she is probably not the best candidate for a home with young children. Poochie seems to be best as an only dog. Poochie has been examined by a licensed veterinarian, inoculated against diseases, been tested for parasites, dewormed, and placed on monthly heartworm preventative. She will be spayed and microchipped the last week of May now that she is healthy. ADOPTION or Foster APPLICATIONS are available for online completion and submission through our website - www.acaringplacehs.org. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-11-22-00412Casey (male)|
Casey is a super sweet adorable 1 yr old Border collie/ Greyhound mix who weighs about 55 lbs.His whole life pretty much revolves around an endless game of fetch especially with his big rubber gummy bear. He never tires and drops it nicely at your feet everytime. He really has no desire to go for walks and is a bit afraid of the big world outside the safety of his fenced yard and of course his time in the house where he's usually asleep after a big game of fetch. He is a big friendly boy who tends to get a bit carried away wanting to get in close, but has never showed any signs of aggression.Casey also gets along great with other dogs and enjoys playing with them between games of fetch. He would be fine with cats since he is afraid of them.Casey has some digestive issues, and through many trial diets, does great on a vegetarian diet. |PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Illinois|
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
