|Rescue Me ID: 16-06-05-00514Bravo (male)|
Bravo is a sweet and shy Beagle mix who is 2 years old. He weighs about 35 pounds. Bravo walks well on a leash. He is shy, so he walks a step or two behind you. He is very loving and sleeps in bed with his foster mom. He is very well behaved when left home alone, so crating is not necessary. Bravo is a gentle soul who is looking for a home that will build his confidence and show him the joys of being a treasured family member. Bravo came from a hoarder home and lived with at least 20 other dogs and very little human contact. Bravo may take some time to warm up to new people, but once he trusts, he will bond quickly to those who are patient and loving. Bravo has grown leaps and bounds and loves to explore, roll in the grass, is learning about toys and enjoys a good belly rub. Bravo's forever home should have another dog and a fenced yard. Bravo loves to run and feel the wind. He is still learning about fetch, but hopefully that will come with time. He would not enjoy a home with small children. Little ones with high pitched voices and sudden movements would scare him. Bravo is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He is not quite fully house trained so will continue to need training and guidance in that area. For more information about Bravo you can contact Roxanne at email@example.com or call 319-929-6657. To start the adoption process please fill out the application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. Adopters within an hour drive of Cedar Rapids, Iowa only. Indoor homes only. This gorgeous boy has eyes that seem to see right to your soul and would love a home he can feel safe and comfortable, forever. Tango is a happy guy who listens well. He likes to be near people and is learning the joys of pets and cuddles. He is a quiet boy and hasn't barked in his foster home yet. Tango came from a hoarder home and lived with at least 20 other dogs and very little human contact. Tango may take some time to warm up to new people, but once he trusts, he will bond quickly to those who are patient and loving. Tango's forever home should have another dog and a fenced yard. He really enjoys playing gently with another dog. He would not enjoy a home with small children. Little ones with high pitched voices and sudden movements would scare him. |Rescue Me ID: 16-04-04-00680Brittany (female)|
Brittany is about 6 months old and we have been told she is a Border Collie X Pyrenees mix but she looks more like a Springer Spaniel. She is VERY scared right now here at the shelter but is warming up slowly. Nothing mean about her - she warms up if you take it slow with her. She is great with other dogs, has no reaction to the cats and her tail wags whenever kids are in the area. She will take a lot of time to settle into her new home but when she does she will be an awesome family member. Unfortunately the person who had her turned her out on her own at about 6 weeks of age and she had to fend for herself with no human contact until she was almost 4 months old so she is totally terrified of humans. She has been spayed, is current on her shots, has been micro-chipped and wormed. All she needs is a home with the patience to give her time to feel comfortable. Her adoption fee is $125.00. If you are interested in potentially adopting her we recommend you complete an adoption application which you will find on our website at www.patriotsforpets.com (Less)

Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Iowa if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
