Meet Pepper Jack! He is a handsome Terrier/Border Collie Mix, approximately 6 yrs old, male who is much smaller than he looks as you can tell by one of the photos. He was found in a hoarding situation living in horrible conditions. He is in a foster home and his foster mom says he is a wonderful dog who was somebody's pet at one time. He is house trained, loves to be around people, crate trained, good with dogs and cats! Does fine around kids but can get nervous around smaller kids so would be best with older children. He is an absolute delight! He is up to date on shots, microchipped, and ready to find his home. Please contact ... (Read More)handsofhopegb@cox.net for more information. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Kansas
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Kansas if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
