Rescue Me ID: 16-10-16-00119Izzie (female)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Izzie is in need of a forever home. Unfortunately my relationship didn't last and my ex refused to keep her until I was able to find a place that would allow a dog. She's very friendly, she loves playing and attention. She definitely needs a privacy fenced-in yard because she is a jumper and will need a lot of attention. I will require a home visit, vet reference, and $25 rehoming fee to make sure she goes to good people. Unfortunately there are bad people in the world and she's too good of a dog to risk leaving in the wrong hands.

Border Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Nelson is a male Border Collie-Heeler mix, less than two years old and still thinks he's a puppy. Loves to play and has lots of energy. He's a smart dog who will be a great companion. He has done wonderful at his foster home with children, other dogs, and cats, off leash in the pasture with a great recall once he adopts you as his person. Typical border collie boy, ready to work and be with you. He also did fine with a donkey in the pasture, so he may be well mannered around livestock. Adoption fee of $ 150 includes neutering, current vaccinations, and a microchip. Come check him out ! He's eager to please and is ready to go to his fur-ever ... (Read More)home ! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Kansas
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Kansas if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
