We thought she was having puppies, but now she seems to be in heat again. Really, we know nothing about unfixed dogs. Please adopt her.

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-20-00124  (female)

Border Collie    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Abused/Neglected, Aggressive

This girl would do well with a single adult or couple with no other animals as she is very possessive and aggressive toward other dog members. She was found about a month ago and has been staying with a family with other dogs who she is resentful toward. She bonds very easy with adults (unsure of kids). This dog can be very sweet.I believe she would thrive in the right situation, but her time is very limited. If we can not find a suitable home for her she will have to be put down soon. Some body please take her before it is too late. She loves to ride in vehicles and would be a good traveling companion as well as a good guard dog.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Montana
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Montana if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
