Meet Draco a 2 yr. old Border Collie X rescued from the reservation and looking for a new life under the big blue sky! Draco is young and playful and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He loves all people including kids! He would do best with children over the age of 10 due to his playful nature. He loves to play with squeaky toys, balls and ropes. This ray of sunshine also enjoys the beach as he loves to frolic in the water with his toys! He's a high energy boy and would love to go to an active home where the family hikes, runs or just plain likes to play out in the yard. Draco is good with some dogs but not cats. He knows some of his ... (Read More)commands and is ready and willing to learn. Draco's disposition is sweet and fun loving and he's ready to get to know you so come on in and meet Draco! (Less)

Animal ID: 14-4605Mauser (male)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

I wish dogs could tell us about their past, Mauser would have a lot to say... He is hesitant at first but he wants to please. He is active, playful, and has been around kids but because of his anti-social past may be best at first introducing to a family with no kids or prefer older children. Mauser spent most of his days in a kennel but really needs a joyful family who wants to help socialize him! But he is a puppy and would be very easy to train :)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sadie is a great dog- loves to camp, swim, fetch, and is very protective of children. She has been known to nip when she feels threatened or her space is invaded by strangers. She is a great companion and needs a loving owner that is willing to make her part of a home and pay attention to her. She likes to be active and also likes to cuddle. She would be excellent in the country or on a ranch setting- she loves to heard and has a natural ability.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Montana
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Montana if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
