Rescue Me ID: 16-10-22-00238Myles (male)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Myles is looking for a loving home with patience and understanding. He is very smart and picks up on things very quickly. He is a sweetheart but does need time to adjust and trust as he is very submissive and is fearful. He is in training for this fear and some socialization. He'd be best in a home with adults who like to be active and no kids, he did live with a baby but was not trusted around toddlers. He needs a second chance and with a boost of confidence he'd be an amazing dog.

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-19-00418Dizzle (female)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Dizzle is an adorable, sweet, smart little character, loaded with personality. Unfortunately, she does not get along with my therapy dog, so I must find her a safer situation. She is shy and nervous around strangers at first, but once she bonds with you she is truly a Velcro dog who loves to cuddle with her trusted human. Based on my observations of her interactions with other dogs, including my own, I really feel she would be best suited as an only dog. She's very housebroken and very smart, very willing to please. Just needs someone with the patience to coax her out of her shyness and really bond with her. She's a wonderful sweet ... (Read More)little girl, and it breaks my heart to part with her, but I need to do right by her. The fee includes a 6+ month supply of flea and heartworm protection for her (Trifexis), and she is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-05-00457Molly & Bella (female)

Border Collie    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Molly and her sister Bella must be kept together. They have been together since birth. They are fabulous dogs, but need to be outside and able to run. We have a very small yard and we both work full time, not compatible for these herding dogs. It will be very painful to give them up, but we know this is what they need.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Nevada
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Nevada if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
