Border Collie Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Connor is a 7 year old heeler/border collie mix. Due to a house fire, my dogs and I recently had to move into an apartment and they no longer have room to run around. I don't like the idea of keeping them kenneled as much as I need to due to work, etc, even if it is temporary. Connor does need training. He doesn't trust strangers due to an incident when he was younger. He will bark and growl. He needs to go to someone who can train him or send him to a trainer for his behavior issues. He hasn't been around children or cats, but gets along well with other dogs.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Nevada
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Nevada if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
