Rescue Me ID: 16-12-05-00494Tilly (female)

Border Collie    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Tilly is a sweet little border collie Mcnab cross. I got her from my neighbor to work cows with and she just isn't going to work for that, but I think she'd make a great pet for anyone. I have cats and another dog and she's been really good with them also has been good with all of the people I live with and am around. She is a little shy at first but a sweetheart.

Rescue Me ID: 16-11-22-00418Austin (male)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

We found Austin at a kill shelter, when he was a puppy, 4 years ago. He has calmed down a bit with his anxiety and hyperness, but still has energy to burn daily. Austin is healthy and updated on his vaccines. He is a great watch dog and is protective of his family and home. We have a baby and the older she gets, the more curious she is about Austin. The baby causes his anxiety to heighten, therefore we need to find a more appropriate home for him. We would love to find him a great couple or family with older children that will love and care for him just as we have.

Rescue Me ID: 16-11-17-00325Eggs Benedict (male)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected

Benedict is a very smart animal, with a great personality. I am unable to take him with me. I am moving into a small apartment, and he deserves more room than that. He is kennel trained and will come with a kennel/Bed/Toys/Harness/Leash. He is very shy, and ignores most other dogs and cats. Great with any people once he gets to know them. (Having the person give him a treat helps) He was abused the first year of his life before I took him in. He is very loving, and enjoys outside time. Loves camping and balls. If you feel you can give Benny a good home, please contact me.

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-22-00238Myles (male)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Myles is looking for a loving home with patience and understanding. He is very smart and picks up on things very quickly. He is a sweetheart but does need time to adjust and trust as he is very submissive and is fearful. He is in training for this fear and some socialization. He'd be best in a home with adults who like to be active and no kids, he did live with a baby but was not trusted around toddlers. He needs a second chance and with a boost of confidence he'd be an amazing dog.

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-05-00457Molly & Bella (female)

Border Collie    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Molly and her sister Bella must be kept together. They have been together since birth. They are fabulous dogs, but need to be outside and able to run. We have a very small yard and we both work full time, not compatible for these herding dogs. It will be very painful to give them up, but we know this is what they need.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Nevada
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Nevada if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
