Ruby absolutely adores attention and doesn't know the meaning of a stranger. Her tail literally never stops wagging and without fail, she always wears a big smile on her face. This pretty girl practically craves human interaction; she adores meeting new people and always asking for a good belly rub or a scratch behind the ears. Ruby is one extremely intelligent and well behaved pup; leash and crate trained, knows the meaning of 'sit' and 'lay down', and will go wherever you go! However, we don't think she would not make a good candidate for the condominium or apartment dweller unless you are ready to take on the daunting task of providing her with the necessary amount of exercise and stimulation. Ruby has a tremendous amount of hyper energy with loads of play drive! She's really like an energizer bunny on a sugar high and will play for hours at a time. She truly is amazing and will make an absolutely wonderful, loyal best friend for you.She's the perfect dog to come home to! She would rather spend time next to you than do anything else in the world. She'll win your heart immediately. She should have a fenced yard, unless her forever family is willing to play, walk, and exercise her regularly. Currently she is fostered in an apartment and goes running and biking with her fosters. Elsa's only caveat is that she must be the only pet in the household. She is very dominant and would not do well with other cats, dogs, etc. Elsa used to attend events and was fine around other dogs as long as they were not right in her face. Though Elsa has since not had much interaction with other animals, which has made her reactivity to other animals heightened. When she sees another dog now she attempts to lunge towards the animal pulling very hard on the leash. She would need slowly reintegrated to seeing other animals again, though will never be able to live with them, attend dog parks, etc. If you are looking for the perfect dog who will love you unconditionally, and are okay with just having one pet this is the girl for you! Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
