|Rescue Me ID: 17-10-17-00222Wally (male)|
Wally is a 1.5 year old, male Black Lab/Border Collie mix. He's a friendly guy who does well with kids and adults but he definitely prefers women. He lives with an adult man in his foster home and is great with him but he does take time to warm up to new men. He is great with other dogs and likes to play. Wally is neutered, current on vaccinations, and on heartworm preventative. He is also housebroken.

|Rescue Me ID: 17-09-11-00230Prince Edward (male)|
Prince Edward was rescued from a high kill shelter. He's around 7-8 years old, is very sweet, loves people, good with most dogs-doesn't play with them and mostly ignores them; he has no interest in toys, loves to sleep with you if you'll let him, and extremely food and treat oriented. He's extremely intelligent, loves car rides and does well on a leash. He has been fully vet checked, has a rear leg tremble occasionally-especially prominent when going to potty-but there is no medical reason for it. He does have sensitive areas when brushing his coat-mostly his tail and back end. He is a people pleasing type pup that may need extra time to get acclimated in a new home as he has been with his rescue mom for some time and is extremely bonded. But he deserves his own family with 100% attention. Ideal home is a mature couple, no young children-our seniors deserve peace and quiet and a non-chaotic household. Prince Edward is fully vetted, completely house broken, on a grain free high quality food diet, and can be trusted with complete run of the house. Adopter must agree he will always be an indoor loved family member, never left outside loose, unsupervised outside for long periods of time, or on a tie out, always be kept on heart worm and flea/tick preventatives, and fed a good quality grain free diet. Adopter must have a current or fairly recent vet reference. A home check is a must to adopt one of our seniors so ideally, his forever home will fairly close to his present location in Central Ohio. Just look at how handsome I am! I'm a medium size pooch with this stunning coat that really turns heads! And my personality matches my looks because I'm a go-getter! |Rescue Me ID: 17-09-07-00082Levi (male)|
Levi is ready for his forever home! 3 year old male border collie mix. He was death listed at the shelter for being afraid. He has come a long way. He gets along with older or calmer dogs. He is really laid back but he does like to take walks and go on hikes. He can climb chain link fences and really likes to do so. He can be stubborn sometimes. He does fine with cats usually ignores them. Levi has been abused/neglected in the past so we recommend moving slowly with him and taking time with him. He is a loyal dog but he just needs someone willing to give him the time he needs to adapt. Levi is UTD on vaccines, heartworm negative, crate trained, and neutered. His adoption fee is $150. |Rescue Me ID: 17-08-28-00019Rocky (male)|
We adopted Rocky from private owners. We have three kids that Rocky doesn't do well with. He is a big dog and likes to jump on them and bark at them when they are playing. If he does go to a home with kids, I would suggest children over 10 years old. He is still just a puppy so he needs a lot of play time and attention!! Please contact me for more information about Rocky. Thank you!

|Rescue Me ID: 16-02-06-00402Checkers (male)|
Checkers is a 6yr old neutered male Border Collie/ Aussie mix. He weighs 38lbs. Checkers came into an animal shelter with a severely broken leg. The vet looked at him and determined that he was either kicked hard or was hit with something. Unfortunately the break was bad enough to require that the leg be amputated. The good news is that checkers actually is now much happier and doesn't mind having 3 legs. He is a quiet and gentle dog that enjoys going for walks and just playing in the yard. He is always willing to cuddle time and will melt into your arms. This guy deserves that best home where he will be loved and spoiled for the rest of his life. He is house trained. He is great with older children and other dogs. Younger children might be to rough on him. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. His leg will not require any further care. The adoption fee is $100. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email email@example.com or call the foster at 419- 591-6621. When emailing please include information about you and your family including other pets. (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Ohio|
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
