Rescue Me ID: 17-12-09-00053Bridget (female)
Bridget is approximately three years old. She was returned to the rescue because another dog that she was living with kept attacking her. She is doing great in her foster home. She gets along with the other dogs and although a little hesitant around the small children at first, she is doing fine. She is house trained, crate trained and knows basis commands. Her foster mom says she is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs she has ever cared for. age: 3 years adoption fee: $200

Animal ID: 356-17Trax (male)
Just look at how handsome I am! I'm a medium size pooch with this stunning coat that really turns heads! And my personality matches my looks because I'm a go-getter! I have a little pep to my step and I'm on the spunky side! But I can also give some love too! So if you are looking for a dog to play with, taking hiking or maybe just relax and watch movies, I'd be great at all of it! I bet if you come see me, you will fall in love! Available for adoption: Muskingum County Dog Warden & Adoption Center 1500 Newark Rd., Zanesville, Ohio 43701 740-453-0273 Please call ahead if you plan to visit. Open M-F 11-5 and Saturday 11-1. |Rescue Me ID: 17-11-21-00408Maddon (male)|
Maddon is a year old and very smart! Being a border collie, he is very energetic and LOVES being social with people and animals. His Australian Shepherd side of him makes him a busy and herding dog. He fully potty trained, can sit on command, shake on command, 'go lay down' on command, etc. Maddon is crated during the day and night when we are not able to watch him. He is out when we are home and awake and is very well behaved. He gets along with just about any breed except for pitbulls and bull dogs. He is very interested in cats but cats always find him too hyper. We currently live in a small apartment that is just not the right place for him. He needs a house with a yard and preferably another dog. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-11-14-00466Daisy (female)
Daisy is so sweet. Her owner, my cousin had his 4th stroke. I have had Daisy for 2 months. She loves to run and gets very excited when she sees me coming to let her off her leash to run. She runs and runs. She doesn't leave my yard. After a bit I put her back on her leash. She has two barks, one high pitched that says come and play with me, and a low pitched at the deer in the yard. I'm not able to keep her. I'm concerned about taking her to SPCA. Please contact me if you are able to offer her a loving home Thsnks

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Ohio
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
