Short haired. Very loving but fearful. Had to move due to divorce and now Another aggressive dog that is deaf in the home torments him. Loves to cuddle and catch a ball but doesn't like a lot of commotion around him or noises. We live next to a train track and shooting range too. Much noise for him. Has a scary sounding bark but really a passive dog.

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-27-00404Pocahontas (female)
Pocahontas is a super soft, ultra sweet 9 week old shepherd/border collie mix. Weighing in at 10lbs. this little girl is no trouble to cuddle. Pocahontas is quieter than her sister Princess and a little more reserved. Of course, Pocahontas is just a baby, but paper training has gone well, which is a step before training to go outside. Vaccinations are up to date for Pocahontas and she is fostered in Lebanon, PA We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all breed dog rescue. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. |Rescue Me ID: 17-03-27-00403Princess (female)|
Princess is a tiny, 10lb. ball of fluff with gorgeous markings. At 9 weeks old this shepherd/border collie mix does very well remembering to potty on her paper and she absolutely loves to cuddle. She adores playing with her sister Pocahontas and is brave when it comes to the older, bigger dogs in her foster home. Princess is up to date on vaccinations and she is fostered in Lebanon, PA We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all breed dog rescue. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. |Rescue Me ID: 17-03-26-00246Sox (male)|
Sox is 3 year old male Border collie x Boxer frm the SVAS. Sox is a truly amazing dog whom we do not have enough good to say about, he is a house favorite to say the least. Sox LOVES to play but is very well mannered, he settles down on command and is happy napping for hours with his people. He is not pushy or needy and extremely obedient. He is an incredible cuddler! He is a great watch dog but don't mistake him for a guard dog as he welcomes strangers with his tail wagging! He is cat friendly and dog selective meaning he chooses who likes, he may be accepting to other submissive dogs so if you feel your dog may work with him, we will require several meet & greets prior to adoption to make certain he is comfortable. He has not been kid tested but I would venture to say that he would be great with dog savvy children over the age of 5. He is house trained and crate trained. He is not toy, food or other resource aggressive with his people whatsoever. He is 100% healthy, UTD on all vaccines, heartworm/lyme negative and neutered. If you are interested in adopting our lover boy Sox, please email us for an adoption application at email@example.com. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-22-00632Ally (female)
She would be a great dog for someone who stays home all day long, possibly a senior citizen. We are a busy family and when we go out she gets upset and acts out. I don't want to cage her and feel she is lonely with us. She is great with kids and people and other animals but we are just too high energetic for her. Completely house trained, sits and gives paw, walks well on lease and loves car rides

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-19-00066Duncan (male)
Very loyal and loving dog. 9 or 10 years old. He was abused as a puppy and has been anxious his whole life. Afraid of loud noises (fireworks, gun shots, etc) Loves to go for walks and to play.

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-05-00097Percy (male)
Percy was adopted and sadly returned due to not knowing about acceptable behavior for living indoors. Because he lived his entire life tied to a box he will need to go to a home that is willing to train him as if her were a puppy. He is a Lab mix who likes children and likes to jump up and give kisses. He needs to be the only pet because he does not care for other dogs or cats. Percy is very food aggressive so he should be fed alone. We are hoping that someone will take this dog in and teach him what he needs to know to be an indoor pet. It will take time and patience to help Percy learn what he needs to know.

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-14-00084Lucy (female)
Lucy is loved, very bright high energy dog. I am recently divorced have 3 kids, 2cats and another dog. I thought I could handle both dogs but Lucy requires constant attention until fully trained. She can be an wonderful pet but needs many walks and running around. Please rescue her and give her a loving home. There are a few issues so I am afraid to send her to a shelter. She can be aggressive when scared but she is loving... just needs a good home.

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-01-00152Chase (male)
Chase is an almost 2 yr old dog who is currently in our home with three adults and two children 5 and 8, and another cattle dog. He does well with the adults but not the kids. He needs rehomed because he is too dominate over the children. He would do best with an adult with no kids and a fenced in yard or lead.

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-14-00271Annie (female)
Great dog listens very well and loves to be loved. Gets along great with our two year old golden doodle and usually ignores our two cats when they pass through. Unfortunately she gets very nervous around small children like 8 years old and younger.

Animal ID: 16-08-01-00238Parker (male)
Sweet and loving 5 year old, Border Collie free to a good home. 75 lbs. High herding drive. Not good with children. He is good with other dogs and cats; however, tends to follow cats which may annoy some cats. Ideally, am looking for a farm as he would thrive on a farm.
Lehigh County Macungie, PA MAP IT!
Rescue Me ID: 16-06-15-00655Rosco (male)
Rosco is very unpredictable. He is good with my other dogs and cats. He knocks children over, so I wouldn't recomend a home with them. He like females rather than males, he cowers around males. I honestly think rosco was abused at his previous home because when I brought him home he was aggressive and fearful now he is very hyper and dominant. If someone were to pick him up I would have to take him out of my home because he's extremely territorial of his property. I would rather someone who knows about his breed to adopt him. If u have any questions feel free to contact me

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-08-00569Brownie (female)
This super spunky ball of energy is Brownie. She's 6 years old, fixed,up to date on shots, micro chipped and completely house broken and crate trained. She is great with kids and other pets. (Not sure about cats) Due to unfortunate circumstances she isn't getting all the lovin' she needs. Small re-homing fee to make sure she's going to a good home.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Pennsylvania
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
