Rescue Me ID: 14-11-23-00067Bandit (male)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi, my name is Bandit. I sure am a handsome fella huh? Yep, I am all that and a bag of chips. At least that is what the ladies think. Ask anyone of them, they will tell you I am the hottest looking Border Collie mix out there. Since I am such a ladies' man, I just refuse to share them with another male. My current home has a male dog and two female dogs. I absolutely adore the female dogs. We really hit it off. Can you blame them? They certainly have awesome taste, don't they? From what I understand, the male dog isn't going anywhere and I hear it is a buyer's market. With that said I am in the market to finding a new home. Not ... (Read More)only am I the hottest male dog around, I'm extremely friendly with whoever greets me. It doesn't matter if you are a big person, little, young or old, I will lovingly wag my tail to the point of making my entire body wiggle. Then I will lavish you with many doggie kisses. Once I am done giving you good kisses, I will roll over on my back and ask for belly rubs. I really love those. By the way, I am bi-lingual too. I not only speak canine language, I do speak English. Yep, that's the truth. I wouldn't lie to you. I know sit, down, stay, come, give paw, other paw, leave-it, outside, walk and while pointing to your eyes, say 'watch', I will look you straight in the eye. I am a gentleman as far as where I go to the bathroom. I will not use my new home as a toilet bowl. That is to be outside only. Like I said, I am in the market for a new home. There are two things I require when moving in a new home. One of them, is there should be at least a submissive but yet very playful female dog if I am to have a room-mate or I will only fly solo. I also, love to work, so I do need a job to do. Otherwise, I don't feel like a valuable male dog. So, if you know of houses with the above requirements, I will be the best housemate you can ask for. PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Pennsylvania
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
