Border Collie Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected,
 Fearful/Anxious

I'm HOLLY, an adorable 10 month old female, 30 lb., Australian Shepherd / Border Collie mix!! Generally I am a happy girl who loves to have fun. I do enjoy lots of activities including long walks, running and playing with my friends as well as snuggling and cuddling with loved ones. I'm super smart and I learn quickly. I know sit, stay, shake, look (into my mom's eyes for direction), leave it and come. I'm highly treat and praise motivated and find learning fun. I think I would love agility training and be good at it too. Today I learned how to go through one of those 4 foot catepillar like tunnel. Wowza that was fun! fun! fun! ... (Read More)Actually it was a little scary at first but after I went through it and survived, I wanted to do it again and again and again. I'm looking for someone like my foster mom who is patient, kind and encouraging. She has been helping me overcome some of my fears, shyness and possessiveness. I haven't had a lot of good experiences with other dogs and people and need someone to help socialize me and teach me boundaries. So do you have an adventurous and playful spirit, a fenced in yard, and experience helping dogs overcome their and socializing pups? If so and if you have a place in your heart and home for a sweetheart like me, come and get me soon. I'm Holly. HOLLY is spayed and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Rescue will consider foster to adopt to the right person. Thank you for adopting and saving a life - YOU ARE HOLLY'S HERO! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Pennsylvania
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
