Border Collie    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Toby was rescued as a young dog from a shelter approximately 5 years ago. He is an energetic dog that needs plenty of room to run and someone who will show him more attention. He was house trained when i first got him but has spent the last couple of years outdoors. Skittish of storms and sudden movements or noise. Does not like to ride and will lay in the floorboard throughout a trip. I am planning some trips in the near future and would like to see him find a home with people who can show him the proper love and care.

Bo has been a fun family member for 4 years. He is a Border Collie mix with strong herding instincts. He would make a great agility dog or farm dog with some time and attention. He can catch a tennis ball no matter how it is thrown and stays with the game FOREVER. He is super smart and sweet with people and with his 'sister' Ava (purebred GSD). He can be aggressive with other neighbor dogs when 'protecting' us or his 'sister' and tries to herd small children. Unfortunately these dominance and protective tendencies are causing us to seek a better situation for him due to a recent move. We want Bo to have the freedom he deserves. ... PIease Read Before Adopting a Border Collie in Tennessee
Border Collie Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. Border Collies are extremely intelligent, faithful dogs who live to please their masters. Border Collies need lots of attention and praise. They respond to high level obedience training and make excellent Frisbee dogs and farm workers. Border Collies do well in large yards or with acreage and they need a job to do. If a Border Collie becomes bored, he will find his own job to do and it may not be the owner's idea of work. Border Collies do well with older children and other dogs, and some Border Collies can coexist with cats. However, it depends on the dog, and generally Border Collies should not be trusted with non-canine pets.
