This is a wonderful site. I found a wonderful man to take my two border collies, Toby and Pebbles, together. I didn't want to separate the siblings.

On Saturday, Zoe went home with a wonderful lady. Deb had lost a companion in December and didn't realize how lonely she would be. She found Zoe on Rescue Me! and we began emailing back and forth. Deb came to our home to visit Zoe and fell in love. Zoe now will be able to visit with Debs mom and dad who live next door they share 5 acres of land and Zoe will have the run of the land. This was such an amazing answer to prayer. A wonderful loving fur baby needing a loving home and this was perfect. Thank you so much for all you do.

I just placed Mango, a Border Collie mix with a wonderful couple who will love her as she deserves. I had some wonderful opportunities to pick from for her new home. I've been very successful with prior rescued dogs in finding wonderful homes for them. Thank you, Rescue Me!, your website is awesome.

Kiley is a beautiful, sweet and smart girl who found her furever home on Rescue Me! She is living with a couple who really love and spoil her. She will be going to dog training, and her new owner might enroll her in agility as well. She would not have found this great home without Rescue Me!

Within two days of posting this pup, I was in contact with someone interested in him. I was so relieved because otherwise he would have been put to sleep. She took him on a trial basis and decided to keep him. He will now get the chance to live for as long as his pain is managed, which could be a year or much longer. I am so grateful to Rescue Me! because it would have broken my heart to put down such a sweet puppy.

Patches was brought into the pound as a stray. She was found by Second Chance Rescue and sent to me as a possible foster. I accepted, as she only had a matter of days to find some way out before they euthanized her. She made the trip out to me, and stayed a while. Apartment living with three dogs was tough, but this beautiful baby was saved and that's what counts. She now has a home of her own, with her sister Cayenne and father Al. She was only days away from her impending doom, and is now in a home that will be hers.

Today we dropped off our beloved Border Collie, Finnegan at his new home. While it was with a heavy heart we had to surrender him, the family we found through Rescue Me! was nothing short of perfect. Knowing he will be living out his life chasing water fowl on the beach with new best friends softens the heartache. Thank you Rescue Me! for providing the platform to make this loving connection.

I am so glad we found Rescue Me! We found this dog a month ago, and the last thing I wanted to do was take him to the pound. Within just a few hours of posting his picture on Rescue Me!, he found a new home. I hope he gets lots of love, and would like it if the new owner would keep us updated on how he's doing. I have to admit we got a little attached to him in that month of him being here.

Maggie was adopted today by a wonderful family. Maggie was rescued twice, the first time from a badly abusive home, then again after the second owners couldn't keep her. She stayed with me and my family for six months as I looked for a forever home for her. Then, a week ago, I found the Rescue Me! website and posted Maggie. I had three inquiries about her, and after talking to the last family I felt that they were the best for Maggie. My sons were sad to see Maggie go but know that she will be loved and cared for the way she needs to be. Thank you, Rescue Me!, for helping me find the perfect family for this special girl.

I drove to see her, and had to come back another day to pick her up. She had to get spayed first. She is just so well behaved and sweet. Today I brought her home, and she fits right in with our other four dogs. She is so beautiful, and a great addition to our family.

Buddy, the Border Collie who was dumped out near my place in the country, has found a new great home! His new owner fell for him first thing when he saw his post on Rescue Me! He said he'd been looking for one exactly like Buddy for quite awhile. He and his wife met me halfway and took the lucky dog home with them. I'm retired and not able to keep him; he deserved a better home than I could offer, so he has that now. He can run free, help with the livestock, and give doggy kisses to the ones who now love him and will care for him. Thank you so much for your help with finding him a home.

Thanks to Rescue Me!, I found Luke. Luke is a very sweet boy and I look forward to giving Luke a lifetime of love and happiness just as he will also give to my husband and I. After owning a Border Collie/Husky mix for almost 16 years... there has been such an emptiness in our life and not a day went by that we didn't think about how much happiness that big guy brought to us. I am so happy to have found Luke.

I posted our male and female five year old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mixes on the Rescue Me! site in early June, and immediately started getting inquiries. We interviewed a few people and chose the perfect family for them. We even have visitation rights! We loved our dogs, but couldn't keep them any longer. Now we know they are loved, and well cared for, in their forever home. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I found Nikki on Rescue Me! in my search for a new puppy for our family. After reading her story we knew we had found our new family member. Nikki is a very sweet, beautiful angel, and if Heather had never posted Nikki on Rescue Me!, I would have missed the chance of a lifetime to find our wonderful new pet. We love her to death and the kids are her biggest focus. She checks on them all throughout the night about every twenty minutes in what we call her nightly rounds. Thank you, Rescue Me!, for providing her profile. And a really big thank you to Heather and family for giving us their beautiful angel to watch over our family. You couldn't have blessed my family more. Thank you!

Patches has a great success story. He was found wandering at a paper plant. One of the workers felt for him and tried to make him a family member. The man has an older dog that would not accept Patches. So poor baby was displaced yet again. We took Patches in and posted him on Rescue Me! We stated Patches needed a job. Within days of posting he had an offer. Come to Kansas and herd 700 to 800 head of Holstein cattle and a family to love him. Complete with grandchildren. Thanks to a nice truck driver headed that way, Patches had the 14 hour ride he needed to his new job and family. He is now in a loving home. Thanks for creating such a wonderful web site!      Praying about the decision to rehome Buster was difficult. Our family loves him and he loves us, but he didn't have a job to do (besides herd my kiddos around the yard). While he didn't have any major bad habits, it just became apparent to us he needed more space to run and a job to do. I posted Buster on Rescue Me! because I wanted him to have a home just right for his breed. A few days ago, I received an email from a very nice lady who seemed to fall in love with Buster's picture and bio. We spoke on the phone and made plans to meet. Buster related to her and her husband right away, and this couple seemed perfect for Buster, plus 25 acres to run around!!! I had a wonderful feeling about this couple and felt Buster would be very well loved and cared for. We waved goodbye with cheerful faces and had our little tears afterward, but knowing Buster is happy and in a good family is a great comfort! I hope to stay in touch and see some pictures soon. If things do not work out there, the plan is to bring Buster home and I will try again, but I really do not think I will need to do this. Thank you, Rescue Me! This site made a difficult process very positive!

Our Border Collie was a adopted on March 8th. I talked to different people through email and telephone calls. I am happy with the results of Rescue Me! I am so glad that our dog went to someone who I felt was a really good match for her, and she was adopted and did not have to go to the shelter and possibly be put to sleep. I know that she will be so much happier there as she settles in. I will miss her but knowing that she is in a much better place with people who will really love her will give me the peace of mind I need in letting her go.

I think Rescue Me is great!!! Thank you so much for allowing me to post my dog's picture on there. It did help me because someone wonderful, Elaine Wilson- searched and found a foster home for my dog Bear to go to; however, when Elaine called me we had decided to keep Bear and just make it work. He was not the problem WE were. He is so loving and sweet. So eager to please, we could see he was trying and we were not trying hard enough. My husband and I cannot live without him. He deserves the best we can give him. Our schedules are changing but we will make it work. Thank you for being there for us and BEAR... This website is a great set up. I love that it is helping so many dogs find a home. We plan to make a donation as soon as we can.

I was at a loss of how to find a new home for my dog (he had been in my family for 6 years). We love our dog but with the kids getting older he was not getting the care or attention he needed. I was afraid I was going to have to have him put down because I didn't think I could find a home for him. I am so glad I found this site! Now we are all happy!! Thank you Rescue Me!

Within an hour of posting on RescueMe.Org, I received and email from a wonderful retired couple regarding my Border Collie 'Buddy'. After exchanging multiple emails over several hours, we arranged for them to come and visit. Until you meet someone face to face, you never know someone, but the instant we met I knew we had found Buddy's new 'forever home'. They instantly fell in love with Buddy and their two granddaughters were just patting the fur right off of him, and he seemed comfortable around them too. They gave us some time alone to say goodbye and promised they would stay in touch. Within a couple of hours we got a couple of emails showing us Buddy's new home and some pics of him relaxing. We couldn't have asked for anything more in making this process any easier for us or Buddy. I would recommend this site to anyone looking to rescue or find a new home for a family member. I just hope they have the same success as we did.

Thank you so much Rescue Me :) AmpAngel had went to a awesome home with 2 young boys & there mom I'm so delighted to have found a site where so many people look at pooches that can be adopted :) I have heard that she is very happy & still having to adjust. I think it is only because I treat my pooches with such unconditional love that it is hard for an pooch to adjust to anyone else. It so happens that AmpAngel has been my last pooch I well ever have to put up for adoption as I truly got attached to her & I can't go through adopting out anymore pooches. Thank you so much Recue Me. I have recommended your site to many others. I can only pray all pouches find awesome homes like Amp Angel did. God Bless

Several people were interested in Maggie. Unfortunately after several e-mails and appointments to come out to see her, no one showed up. This happened at least 6 times. Not sure why? So we reconsidered. We love Maggie. Our Lab that she didn't get along with, unfortunately passed away on Fathers day. We had her cremated and buried her under HER apple tree. Why should we have to give up such a sweet dog. Now Maggie is here to stay. My husband who was never wild about dogs, loves her. She still isn't good on walking with a leash but, we throw her many toys around, she chases them and is getting lots of exercise. She loves being an only dog and is definitely thriving. Sometimes we have to give someone a second chance. I'm glad we gave one to Maggie Phyllis & Howard Karl

Missy is headed to Wyoming to start her new job as a new lead worker. Her new buddies are excited. She will have plenty of wide open space to run, after all Wyoming is a big playground. Thanks for all your help Missy

It's been a long road finding this beautiful Border Collie just the perfect home. Thanks to the Rescue Me site one came along just in the nick of time. I needed to find her just the right home, her new owners saw her on this site and fell in love with her. Thank you Rescue Me for your efforts.

About 4 years ago on Christmas Eve, we found our rescue Border Collie dragging a small but painful 'jaw' trap up our road. It had attached to the toes of one of his front feet. He was clearly in a lot of pain and very distressed. We took him in and got him the medical treatment he needed. We neutered him and micro chipped him as we do all of our pets. Since my son in law was the first to see him, we named him after him. His name is Flip, so the collie became 'Flippie.' Flippie is a wonderful loving dog. He had only one issue. HE WANTED TO HERD! He herded our other dogs until they didn't like him any more. We had to separate him from them. Then, he would become very frustrated and bark. That agitated the other dogs. He wanted to herd our horses, and that wasn't going to happen for all of their safety. He wanted to herd everything. Believing that herding was what he really wanted to do, I posted him on this website, looking for someone to take him and herd with him. A lovely lady who lived in a neighboring state, did come for him. However, when she took him to 'Sheep herding school,' it was determined that Flippie was terrified of sheep! There was no consoling him. EVERYONE was amazed. As much as this lady loved Flippie, she really needed a herding collie for her farm. So, she gave him some much needed obedience training and searched her area for a home for him. Not far away was a lovely family who wanted a collie. They fell in love with Flippie. They had no other dogs. They took Flippie and gave him a forever home. Flippie is a wonderful dog. He just needed a perfect fit. Thanks to 'Rescue Me' and the lovely people who took him, he found one.

This site was extremely helpful in finding someone appropriate to adopt my dog, a male border collie named Kuton. I posted him up and only about 2 days later, I received a response from an experienced trainer who would care for and love him. I thank you and them for helping me out, as much as it hurt to let him go.

I was out of options for my Rowdy, a Border Collie mix, and my heart was breaking as I made arrangements for him to be put to sleep. I then ran across Rescue Me!, and with little hope, I added his photo and profile to the too many others here already. Imagine my surprise when I logged onto my email a scant five hours later, and there was someone who wanted him! I want to thank Rescue Me! from the bottom of my heart for helping me find a new forever home for my little boy, who, thru no fault of his own, almost became another statistic. And, thank you Elizabeth for giving my boy a new home, and a chance to live out his life in doggy happiness!!!!

Hi Jeff, I found a very nice young couple who have a border collie that is in training for the wounded warrior project. So I knew right away this would be a great fit for Murphy. We met a couple weeks ago so the two boys could get acquainted. They hit off right from the start. I'm grateful for your site. Keep up the good work. Karen

Dear Jeff, Thank you so much for having a site like this! I was beside my self that I wouldn't be able to find someone to love her. I can't tell you how much I love Bailey, I believe she will make her new owner a wonderful dog. I'm sad that I can't make it work for her. She needs someone that understands her to adopt her and I believe we found her. Thank you so very much! Brightest Blessings, Liz

Hello to all, I'm glad I found you! My Bailey has been adopted. I can't tell you enough about this site, and how wonderful that someone that knows and understands Border Collies is taking her!!! I'm not giving her up because I don't love her, I just can't give her what she needs. I tried, but fighting cancer not being able to go and throw a ball for her is just not fair to Bailey. She was abused before I took her and will need lots of love and care to get her thru. I can only hope her new owner will love her, I think she will make a great dog for her! Bailey has been wonderful dog for me, laying hours with me when I was not feeling well. Well I guess all I can say is thank you and blessings. Sincerely Liz

Jeff, Leo was adopted by a man who lives on 5 acres of fenced in property. He has adopted border collies before and was very familiar with the breed. (Leo was my sons dog who had to move into an apt.) He has called me and has invited me to come see him. I'm sure Leo is in his height of glory!! He LOVES to run and we just didn't have the room for him to 'let loose' and run. I am so happy for Leo and very sad for me and my son but this is best for him. I fell in love with him and miss him very much but I know this is the best thing for him. Thank you for your site. Amy Barnes

I had a perfect experience...although Nenca has only been with me a week, it is clear she is a perfect fit and friend for life. The Family that nurtured her for the few years she's been on earth did a wonderful job considering what she went through. She was in the perfect foster family, and I know for a fact, that if circumstances were different they would have happily kept her. I can not praise Della enough for her hard work and immense love. She is an angel. As far as Nenca is concerned: this little lady still has some work ahead of her, but I know she'll be OK. She's got spunk under her quiet shy exterior. ALL these dogs deserve that chance. If I wasn't in an apartment that had foster restrictions....and a bigger place at that, I would surely volunteer my efforts in fostering, since I do have nearly 20 years in Border Collie experience (2 dogs under my belt; one of which that lived to a ripe old 17 years!!!) and Lots of patience and love to give to them as well. I pray each and every doggy finds their forever home with kind, good people. I can't promise instantly, but I intend to send donations your way. Good luck and love!! ~Lia

Hi Jeff, We found a new home for Abbey using Rescue Me! I tried going through the Western Border Collie Rescue, Misha May Foundation, AND the Herding Dog Rescue of Wyoming and hadn't found a home for Abbey (been searching since June!). I posted Abbey on Rescue Me! earlier this month and she was adopted TODAY to the most ideal home for her. We're so grateful for your service. Thank you, Amanda

We have a lady coming up from Tennessee to get Delilah. I feel Rescue Me! has really helped us get information out about our dogs that need rescued. I was skeptical at first because I wasn't sure how many people used these kind of sites but the outcome has been amazing on how many people have called us interested in our dogs.

Hi Jeff, Thank you so much for creating this site. It is so easy and quick to upload pictures and information to. The networking this site does with other rescues is amazing. I have had many adopters tell me that they were just googling 'border collie rescues,' for example, and found my dog on your site! The added exposure has been phenomenal. I am the rescue and adoptions coordinator (a happily volunteered position!) at Chester County Animal Shelter in Chester SC. Two years ago, we had virtually no adopters or exposure to rescues. The euthanasia rate was 99%. This mean that only 1% of all the dogs and cats coming in to our shelter ever made it out. Through the hard and dedicated work of a very small handful of people, the euthanasia rate has fallen to 25%!! This is unheard of for a county shelter. We are very small, and are built to house 64 dogs. However, the summer brought a record number of turn-ins and strays. We usually run at about 100+ daily. We have a tiny budget. We have relied almost exclusively on the internet to get the word out about our GREAT animals to rescues and to adopters. In closing, your site has allowed us to adopt over a dozen animals in the past month alone. We are so happy to have you out there as a champion for our pets, and for ALL pets in shelters, waiting for their forever families to find them! Take care and keep up the amazing work! Kym Williams, Volunteer at Chester County Animal Shelter, Chester SC

Thanks to you I have found Kimbo the PERFECT home. His new owners live about 1 1/2 hours from there on the Tenn border. They work on a Dairy Farm and have Cows, Goats, Chickens and all kinds of other farm animals, plus he will have 2 brothers to play with. He was very weary of them today when he first went with them, but they said as soon as they arrived at the farm, it was as if he grew up there. Linda, the lady who took him, has kept me up on everything since she look him today. I am VERY happy for him and I couldn't have found a better place for him!! It feels great to have found him a good home. Just wanted to say THANK YOU!! Paula

We have found a home for Mia! Her adoptive family is very excited to have her. Mia's new owner is excited about all that she already knows how to do, & all he plans to teach her. Border Collies are very smart & he is excited about seeing her progress. We think Mia has a lot of potential & are sad to see her go, but know that she will be better off with an owner that has the land to offer her & the time to spend with her that she deserves. It was difficult knowing we had to say goodbye to Mia, but we are thankful that Rescue Me! helped us find a good adoptive fit for her. Thank You! Chris & Karen
