Within the same day that we posted on Rescue Me, wonderful rescuer who has trained dogs since 1973 called about adopting Mishka. We set up a meeting and saw how good he was with her. She is going to a very nice neighborhood. It was obvious he saw great potential in her and will love her. With so many great dogs on this site that need rescue, I am now a believer. God bless all of you!

Thank You 'Rescue Me!' for being such a great place to post all the wonderful animals that need rescued. Thanks to you the Border Collie I posted has a new home. I will never forget 'Snickers'. The people that contacted me were all sincere and polite. I hope and pray she lives a happy and long life and her new owner is forever glad and grateful for taking her. May GOD watch over them.

Rocky made it to his new forever home yesterday. He generated a lot of interest on Rescue Me, for which I am so grateful! He was adopted by someone who knows his breed and whose profession is working with all types of dogs. I feel he is in more than capable hands and has been given the chance he needed to excel!! I am so thankful for this site and all who contacted me!!

June Bug had lost her owner in December. From there she was transferred to a couple homes. We had to search for her and she returned home to other family members just in time for Christmas. This would only be a foster situation until we could find her a new forever home. While there were many inquires across the united states we re-homed her right here in Colorado. A dear sweet person that needed her, as bad as June Bug needed her forever home. We were happy to have united these two together. May the love be with them moving forward with their lives together. Thank you, Rescue Me, for giving this dog a second chance. Many Blessings came from this story.

Honey was adopted by a wonderful family who had to send their beautiful girl to the rainbow bridge. Her new little human sister is so thrilled to have her that she has written a book about her and her new puppy to welcome her home. She is only seven years old. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen and read. Honey has been matched with her perfect family after many applications. Thank you, Rescue Me, for always having so many great adopters to chose from. Kind Regards, Christine Ostrowski Kiernan President of Chrissy's K9 Kastle Corp

It was so wonderful finding a Border Collie (mix) on this rescue site! Most posts are hundreds of miles from me, but Beau was right here in Visalia. I had been thinking about rescuing another BC after both of my babies had to go to heaven within four months of each other in 2017. I found this site and it was made to happen that I found Beau. He is now part of the family as of two weeks ago!! Thank You, Rescue Me, for all of your help in rescuing dogs in need!

What an amazing experience! The family that contacted me about adopting my dog couldn't have been a better match. They were very considerate about the situation I was in, having to find a new home. We were in contact constantly. They sent me pictures of the family to assure me they would make the perfect home for my dog. It made having to give her up that much easier. I couldn't have prayed for a better family than the ones who are going to love my dog.

Thank you, Rescue Me! My little girl Maddie has been adopted by a wonderful older couple and is living in a great home situation now. She's training to be a goat herder and she has a new best friend in a 14 year old boy and also a white duck that now follows her around the 500 acre property. Thanks to all who had an interest in Maddie. I hope you find a dog that is right for you.

Lillie was the perfect dog for me. I lost my wife 10 months ago and just sat around the house doing nothing. Looking for a dog, I knew I wanted a border collie since that was the breed I grew up with. After looking at numerous sites, I came upon Rescue Me! I found the ideal match, contacted the owner, and now I'm the proud owner of 'Lillie.'

Mistletoe was adopted thanks to Rescue Me. She lives in a home with two kids a mom and dad and a bulldog mixed brother. She has a lot of nice amenities as a part of her new family. Her new dad will be taking her hiking and bike riding. Bonnie and Clyde were also adopted with Rescue Me. It's hard to adopt two dogs out at once, but Bonnie and Clyde are bonded. They too got an amazing new mom who lets them sleep with her takes them on road trips and could not be happier to have them. A truly sweet family. I love Rescue Me because it allows for a person to find that special pet they really want. I personally don't feel good about store front adopting. It's a major commitment and a big step for the rescue, letting go as well as the new family making sure we have a perfect fit! Thank you Rescue Me!

Such a sweet puppy! Foster parents obviously cared for mom and the litter of seven puppies as their own. The application was processed quickly... Only five days from application to puppy pick up! We've been approved by three rescues, yet were never able to get the dog we wanted until now. Obviously, this furbaby was meant for our family! So appreciate everything these rescues do for all God's creatures! Thank you, Rescue Me!

After loosing a member of our family (Dingo) from a freak accident, my husband I were both devastated. Our home was lonesome. My husband would always take Dingo to the office with him or they would go for a walk and check the property. We knew we wanted another dog to help fill that void we both had. I had heard about Rescue Me and went ahead and signed up for rescue alerts. After seeing Freckles, we weren't too sure if we really wanted to go so young. After waiting, three days, I called on Saturday and she was still there. Les and I got in the truck and headed down to adopt her. Freckles is now living in Cottonwood and has five cats to terrorize and is getting to know the horses. She's fitting in real well.

My neighbor and I rescued a beautiful, but starved Border Collie off of a highway over a year ago. I brought him back to health, had him vaccinated, neutered and heartworm tested, then put him on heartworm preventative. With a house full of rescued animals, I could not give this smart, athletic dog the exercise and personal attention he needed and deserved. With a heavy heart, I put him on the Rescue Me website and got a call the same day. To my surprise and delight, the call came from only five miles down the road. I was able to do a home check and personal evaluation of the adopter. I am confident that I have placed Chase in loving hands. Karen and David are crazy about this dog and have welcomed him into their home and hearts. Many thanks to Rescue Me for making this adoption possible.

This little girl is not what I was looking for, I had been looking for months for a young male Corgi (Cardigan) and up she came. Veda Marie was on the Corgi page and the Border Collie page. Her look was, 'take me home'. I contacted the owner and all went so well that the owner came to my home yesterday and looked at where and how Veda would be cared for and in came a new member of the family. There will be some hard adjustments as my large dog is not accustomed to a new dog. Veda is a bit food aggressive, but all is going very well. She is a sweet dog and adapting well. So grateful to Rescue Me and happy to have a Corgi mix in my life again.

We have loved Border Collies for many years! All of our Border Collies have been rescues, and each one has been a joy. Rescue Me simply gave us a resume of many different dog personalities so we could find just the right match for us. We adopted Bandit after contacting his owners and learning all about him. He had been very loved and well taken care of. We fell in love with him immediately! Bandit is the perfect compliment to our family.

We set up a few visits and he decided that Buddy was the dog for him. We were sad to see him go, but he did need a good home so we are relieved.

Bella went to her forever home. She was adopted by an awesome couple. They drove four hours to see her. They have three acres of property. Bella will have lots of space to run and play. When they met Bella, they immediately fell in love with her and she with them. The woman said Bella would get to sleep on their bed. I could tell she was going to be a spoiled dog.      Shelby has a wonderful new home. She was adopted by a woman who has a 250 acre working ranch with cattle, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs, and cats. Her primary job will be herding the goats once she 'learns the ropes'. Our role in Shelby's journey was ultimately to remove her from a suburban shelter and 'foster' her. She was surrendered by her original owners at 11 months old. Over a two and a half week period, she was adopted twice. The first time was one day, the second time was 12 days! She was physically full grown but still a puppy. She was a 'chewer' and needed constant supervision or crating. This was most likely the reason she was originally surrendered and returned twice. We don't know what her fate would have been if the adopt/return cycle continued. Great progress was made during our stewardship of Shelby. She was in obedience training and was progressing well in the adult classes. She had not become an 'honest' dog yet as she would not come when I called her so this meant she was always on a lead or restrained in some way. And unfortunately, our five year old cat (another shelter rescue) could not resolve their incompatibility (she's a runner so would never stand her ground and smack Shelby on the nose). We are so happy that Shelby now has a great home where she will have the job she was bred to do - herding livestock instead of toys. One of her Border Collie companions is about 12 and a good herder but getting tired. The other Border Collie is two, but does not have the herding instinct. We could tell that she will have a great time in her new home. And her new caretaker is an active supporter of the local no-kill shelter.

We are so grateful that Nellie found a new home thanks to Rescue Me! We 'inherited' her after my brother had a major stroke, but she was not a great fit with the other dogs. We were just not able to give her the attention she wanted and deserved. It took a few weeks, but a lovely lady and her son found her on your site and decided she was a good fit.      Thanks to Rescue Me for providing this connection which made it very easy to find Tyson. Thanks also to Rachel and her family for allowing us to adopt him. We are very pleased with Tyson. He has adapted very well to his new environment. He is a very sweet dog and has made friends with our two dogs. We walk and hike every day, and play ball and frisbee.      Chance was rescued from an animal control shelter, where he had been for over three months. We had received word that he was scheduled for euthanasia within two weeks when our rescue was made. After two repostings on Rescue Me, a couple approximately 150 miles away asked if Chance was still available. We met at a half-way point where Chance met his new owners. As former ranch owners, they now have eight acres of land for Chance to run with another canine, along with a few horses. Last word, Chance is enjoying the good life, running and playing to his heart's content. This spring he will be trained to help on the land, as the couple's son is a rodeo circuit rider and was looking for a companion to help with the horses and be a travel companion.

I just want to cry my eyes out. We have found a new forever home for Ellie through Rescue Me. I am so selfish to be heartbroken because I know that finding her a new home is the correct thing to do, but I have always been the rescuer so this side of things is so bittersweet. She will be moving north to be with a lady named Kristie who will take Ellie with her on horseback rides and walks and agility training. My hope is that she will grow to love her new owner and learn to be a healthy, happy, occupied border collie.      Tipper, what a youngster! Volunteering at our city shelter, I am overwhelmed at the number of dogs that come into our shelter as strays or owner turn-ins. Tipper came in as a stray and had been there about two weeks. It was her first day in the adoption area. I decided to walk every dog in that area. After walking two, I leashed Tipper and began to walk the loop behind the shelter. Coming around the last turn, she began to kick a back leg. Thinking it was a thorn, I checked. Finding nothing, I turned back to retrace my steps. In the middle of the path was a coiled snake, in strike position. Immediately taking her back to the shelter, there were still no indications on her back paw that she was bitten. After about five minutes, two small drops of blood appeared. Knowing that this was not good for her future, I was devastated. A friend who heads a local rescue just happened to come in. After finding out what happened, she said her group would pay for the vet visit. Having just adopted our last foster, I was going to take a break, but how could I not help Tipper? (I named her 'Tipper' for the white tip on her tail.) I placed her on Rescue Me. After a week of recovery, the vet said no more treatment was necessary. Evidently, it was a rat snake and just caused a nasty infection. Within five days, I had three inquiries about her from Rescue Me. A woman with two young children came to visit with Tipper, fell in love with her, and Tipper is now in a new home, doing wonderfully. Being a border collie mix, she has the inclination to nip, but the woman has had border collies and knows to correct. They continue to love her and enjoy her personality. Tipper and their older Yorkie even get along and play together. I am, always moved by acts of providence in adoptions. In a public shelter, the numbers of animals are always more than the kennels to house them. If I had not decided to walk her for the first time, had the snake not bitten her, had a rescue not paid for her initial treatment, had our shelter officers not had compassionate hearts, and had I not fostered her, she very well might not have been there today. AND, had Rescue Me not been a site that can move pets into great homes, Tipper would not be living in a great home, where she will grow with the children and have a great, new life. Thanks, again, Rescue Me!

She now has two human parents, a human sister, and two canine siblings with a fenced-in yard to run. She needed this so badly! I had a lot of changes in my life, during which she was an awesome emotional support, but in order to gain some stability for myself, I ended up in a very small space in the middle of town. She was a trooper about going for walks and learning to stay in a crate in between, but it was no life for a talented, hard-working, energetic farm dog. I put her on Rescue Me's border collie page, and immediately had about five inquiries. I'm happy to say that I found just the situation I was looking for with a couple who have a large piece of land, animals to herd and a great deal of experience and love for Border Collies. I feel like she will have more the kind of life she was born to live. Thanks so much!

We just adopted our beautiful girl, Bella (thanks to this website!) from a family who unfortunately could not keep her anymore. They actually got her a year ago from an animal shelter and although she's understandably nervous, she is coping well with her new family. We have three other dogs and she drives the Westie nuts by running interference when he tries to run for his tennis ball!!! I was looking to get a Border Collie puppy, but when I saw the picture of her on this website and knew we would be in the area in a few days, we had to go see her. We took the Westie to meet her and they got on great immediately. Me? Well, she growled and barked loudly to 'protect' her house for us, but the wagging tail was a giveaway!!!! As I type this, she's under my office table by my side. It's us that feels very fortunate to have found Bella!!! Thank you Jeff for hosting this site and all the work you have done. I hope my little donation will help. Thanks again, Rescue Me.

Wow! Within three days, someone was emailing with an interest in Kai. Now in less than seven days, she has been adopted and living in her new home with her new family. What a blessing the Rescue Me site has been. In a week's time, I have posted two rescue dogs and they are both in their Furever homes with amazing families. Thank you Rescue Me, you are AWESOME!

We have been looking for a Border Collie for some time, but are very glad that we waited for Taylor. She blended right into our lives and is a very happy girl, learned our walking paths within a few days and has us wrapped around her little freckled toes! We all look forward to spending our lives together, thanks to Rescue Me for making this possible!

Wow. I found a wonderful home for Miss Abbey on Rescue Me. A retired couple found Abbey on this site. They are fabulous! I thought Abbey had a good life with me. She now has a home where they are home all the time, she has a lab mix to play with and a huge yard filled with squirrels. She is very happy. Her new owners have left me a message already. She was also adopted so fast. Thank you again!

We had just lost our Lucky our friend and buddy to cancer. Then our grandson was visiting us and he talked my wife to look on Rescue Me. They saw Alex and I saw him so I called the owner. We passed the approval and drove almost 200 miles to see Alex. He liked us and we liked him so now Alex is a member of our family.

Bella was rescued from a kill shelter. When she arrived following an eleven hour truck ride in a cage, she was scared, thin and dehydrated and had undergone surgery only the day before. My home turned out to be a second foster home for her where Bella began learning how to enjoy a toy and romp in a backyard. She warmed up quickly to her temporary home enjoying two square meals a day and the opportunity to sleep beside her mom and dad at night. Rescue Me was the avenue by which Bella found a forever home with a wonderful couple who has had lots of experience with high energy Border Collies. At last check she has settled into a life of fun and leisure...sprinkled with lots of love. My thanks to your website for helping to give Bella a renewed chance for happiness.

Thank you Rescue Me! One month after we rescued a sweet, high-energy girl who needed lots of time and attention, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The prognosis is excellent, but the process would be months and we wouldn't have the time to spend working with our doggie. We also did not have a lot of time to find her a new home before chemo started. I found the Rescue Me website, posted, and within two days we had offers from two different, absolutely wonderful homes whose references were excellent. Her new family drove six hours to pick her up one day, and back the next and she is so happy in her new home. Not only that, but they are sending us updates and have offered to let us bring our kids to visit her next time we are in their town. Thank you so much for facilitating this beautiful adoption. We could not be happier!

I've been searching for a new home for Lexi. She was posted to a variety of websites. I inspected three homes (with the third being the charm), all of which came in through Rescue Me. I found the responses to largely be excellent candidates who would take wonderful care of her and provide her with ample love and attention. Thank you for getting the good word out. I couldn't be more pleased with her final home. It will be my pleasure to make a donation.

I am so pleased with Rescue Me. Mylah has been adopted. I am grateful for her new parents who came to see her, played with her a bit and was even more pleased to see Mylah accepting them. She is a wonderful little girl and deserves the best life she can be given. I feel confident that with her new parents, she will receive all the care and love every dog deserves. Thank you all for making this possible and giving Mylah and all other animals a second chance.

Bailey is in a transition period. She is very nervous with change of any kind. We not only found the perfect home for her, but also a kind hearted new owner who is willing to take the time to adopt her so that Bailey can get used to her new surroundings. We are actually doing play dates for about two weeks so that she is totally comfortable with the transition into her new home. This is the best of both worlds for Bailey, she can take time getting used to her new family and pulling away from her old family. She will have room to run and farm animals to play with! Who could ask for more? I am so glad that we posted her on Rescue Me.

We adopted Bella and we couldn't be happier with her! She is such a sweet, smart girl, and has already bonded with everyone in the family, even Grandma and Grandpa. We were told that she was an outside dog, but we brought her inside right away, and she was thrilled. She is great with our two kids and is thriving on their love and attention. We are looking forward to having her as a part of our family for years to come! Thanks, Rescue Me!

Mason arrived on Saturday. She is an incredibly sweet girl who wants to please. My 15 year old Abby Louise, who is blind, actually was barking at Mason to play. My little princess even gave her a kiss on the nose on the first day. We have done a lot of fostering, and usually it takes a few weeks for our little one to give kisses. Needless to say Mason is a keeper, and she came potty trained, and crate trained too.

I was desperate to adopt out two dogs, Bonnie and Clyde. I put both of their profiles on Rescue Me. Within two weeks, I had a response to Bonnie's post, and soon the adoption was complete. She went to an absolutely FANTASTIC new home, and the BEST PART, was that Bonnie's adoptor, Kim, also agreed to take Clyde as well!!! Can't thank Rescue Me enough! By the way, a REALLY GOOD photo, with a digital camera, made the difference for Bonnie!!! Kim noticed her right away!! THANK YOU!!!

Bonnie is a gorgeous, super smart Border Collie-Siberian Husky mix, rescued from the streets. She narrowly missed getting killed in traffic on the street where she was found. I was unable to keep her because I was over the dog limit in the city. Only two weeks (!!!!) after posting her picture on Rescue Me, her and her doggie friend Clyde, were BOTH adopted by an amazing woman who will treat them as if they were her children! Kim will give them the ultimate BEST FOREVER home for them, as her current dogs are 12, 13, and 14 years old!! She takes her dogs running in the mountains and the desert!! This will be perfect, especially for Bonnie, who needs a really really active home!!!! I'm super thrilled, and can't thank Rescue Me enough. These dogs would have had to go to the shelter if it weren't for Rescue Me. It WAS A PERFECT FIT FOR BOTH THE DOGS AND THE ADOPTER!!!!!! Yeah!!!!! BY THE WAY: a REALLY great picture is a HUGE help to get your special doggy placed quickly!! Bonnie and Clyde had had digital pictures taken, which helped immensely!

Thank you, Rescue Me. I found my four year old Border Collie, Danny, a wonderful home. A loving, sweet couple who have nine acres and another dog that Danny has become buddies with. They are really active people who have horses, goats and a miniature Donkey. I feel blessed to have found them and although I miss and love Danny very much, I feel happy that he is in a better situation with room to be a Border Collie. They are going to take Danny in agility and I know he will LOVE it!

Rescue Me has been an excellent source to work with. We posted Carly for adoption and had several great responses and with us doing the work of screening and reference checking we choose a family that she fits perfectly in. We loved having the ability to screen and talk with the potential owner and choose who we thought she was the best fit for and build a relationship with her new family. Thank you Rescue Me for providing a free service and supporting finding our fur babies homes!

Minnie found a new home within days of posting here on Rescue Me. Her new owners said they were drawn to her post because she looked so much like their Border Collie, Christmas, that had passed recently. After reading her review and seeing that she had the same anxiety issues as their Christmas, they knew they had to meet her. I met up with them within a few days as they were traveling for their granddaughter's graduation. Minnie went to Brenda right away. She was a little skittish of her husband and son, but once they knelt down to her, she warmed up to them in minutes. We visited for about an hour going over her quirks, likes, dislikes, etc. They wanted her! We loaded her up in their SUV with all her goodies and I gave my Minnie a good-bye kiss. Minnie has gone to a 'fur' ever home where she will get 24/7 attention and have the run of the house! I'm very blessed to have found such a wonderful family for her. It would not have been possible without this website.

My dogs Keisha and Cubby passed away this past Fall after almost 16 years. I miss them so and wasn't sure I was ready to get another dog. While sitting at my computer one day, I did a search for rescue dogs and came upon 'Rescue Me'. I was quickly impressed with the way the website itself was set up. As I scrolled through the pictures, I saw a sweet little female dog named Allanah, that looked so much like my Keisha. I thought long and hard about calling to inquire. A week later, I called the number and set up a time to go meet the dog. As soon as I saw her, I knew I had to have her. She came home with me and my nieces and a friend that day. I am so happy to have her in my life. I am so thankful to Cheryl at the shelter that cared for her. I am thankful that her life was spared and that my husband and I have been given a chance to give love and receive love from this beautiful little doll. Thank you to Rescue Me for all that you do to find loving homes for all of the furry children.

Rescue Me made it possible for me to find a great home for a dog who needed to be the number one dog in his own family. My family already had two dogs and Chance was always competing for first place attention and was never satisfied. His new country home has a family of four smiling faces, who were waiting for his arrival with his new collar with name and phone number, a fenced backyard, food waiting, and acres to roam around his new home. Now I am able to devote a better level of attention to my other two dogs so they do not feel neglected. Life has become much better for all of us. Thanks for the great website to bring dog lovers together and make life better for our devoted and faithful friends.

Zoe now will be able to visit with Debs mom and dad who live next door they share 5 acres of land and Zoe will have the run of the land. This was such an amazing answer to prayer.      Within two days of posting this pup, I was in contact with someone interested in him. I was so relieved because otherwise he would have been put to sleep. She took him on a trial basis and decided to keep him. He will now get the chance to live for as long as his pain is managed, which could be a year or much longer.      Patches was brought into the pound as a stray. She was found by Second Chance Rescue and sent to me as a possible foster. I accepted, as she only had a matter of days to find some way out before they euthanized her. She made the trip out to me, and stayed a while. Apartment living with three dogs was tough, but this beautiful baby was saved and that's what counts. She now has a home of her own, with her sister Cayenne and father Al. She was only days away from her impending doom, and is now in a home that will be hers.
